Lara Dunston’s Summary
As a travel writer, I aim to write inspiring evocative content that captures what's special about destinations. I want readers to be inspired enough to go pack their bags. And when they arrive I want them to have the best time they've ever had. I want them to get off-the-beaten-track, get beneath the skin of a place, and to take something memorable away, special experiences they can treasure. Until the next time they get on a plane.
My career has embraced a wide variety of professions: researcher, writer, PR, media relations consultant, publicist, filmmaker, teen fiction author, lecturer, academic manager, and now a writer all over again. Since I began working, I've always had several overlapping and simultaneous careers. I've never gone neatly from one job to the next. I've never been satisfied doing a 9-5 job. Even when I held demanding full-time positions, I took on other projects, volunteer work, film crewing, teaching, writing... I love multi-tasking because I love my life to be as full and as meaningful as it can be. The common denominator has always been research and writing - essentially, finding and telling the stories.
