International Life Sciences Students’ Conference took place from November 7th to 11th at the Biotechnical Faculty in Ljubljana. Students from Slovenia and abroad were presenting their research activities to other participants. The presentations were given in English and were arranged into several sections. The programme was complemented by guided field trips and social events. At the end of the conference we published a publication which include all the abstracts of the presentations.

I was head organizer on the 19th INTERFOB (European congress of students of wood science and related fields) which was from 23-27th October 2006 taken in Bled. 240 participants from 11 countries during the five day programme had the opportunity to learn how Slovenian wood industry and its related companies are functioning, acquired new knowledge at specialized lectures and established contacts with those who are students today, but will become technologists, commercialists, designers, etc. tomorrow.
